Today was a good day.
Work went smoothly. My manager talked to me about starting management training class when the current one ends.
I went out and sold my music afterward.
I prayed for abundance the way Joel Osteen recommends in his book, "Break Out."
I felt more confident overall talking to people, promoting, and selling. I shot another testimonial video and some pictures of this woman's tattoos.
I came up with another idea for a skit. I made my future partner smile.
After a couple of hours, I had sold all but two "Circuitry" CD's. The last ones are always the hardest to sell.
I sold one and headed home to burn a "Kyube" CD for a woman who promised she would buy one if I brought it to her job today.
When I pulled up, I didn't see her so I headed in to make my usual transaction. On the way in, I asked a man, Steve Robinson, if he would check out my music. He said he would because he was tired of the same old thing and bought my two-disc Circuitry set for $30. Yes, $30. Thank you Lord and Jesus!
I went in and inquired about the woman who said she would buy my CD. She had called off. I commented that it was the second time she had flaked on me (she has my number yet gave no head's up in case I might only be making the trip there for her today; she also previously agreed to go out to eat but wouldn't respond to a confirmation text).
It turns out that it didn't matter whether she was there or not. I sold the CD I made for her as soon as I got back to my car. Shoutout to Anika, Steve, and everyone else who has helped me today and each day I sell my music*.
I felt myself getting really sleepy close to 8 p.m. and complained to myself that I wasn't going to be able to stay up late the night before the one day I was able to go in to work later than I usually do. I decided I would take a nap.
I stopped to get gas on the way home and got a call from my job. I looked at my phone debating whether I should answer it or not and answered because I figured they probably wanted me to come in at my usual time. Good call.
I made sure they weren't going to have me work five extra hours for coming in early and that I would have a normal eight hour day and agreed. Why not? I was getting ready to go to bed anyway.
Things worked out today. :)
*I keep a list and will publish it as soon as possible, most likely on Facebook.
